Hi, Chris.
Thanks so much for your note. Glad the concert went well - we missed being
there! Our kids gave us some gift certificates to the Olive Garden for
Christmas and we were looking forward to using them with all of you. With any
luck at all, Tim will be back in the band soon. He is having some complications
with fluid retention and low protein absorption - they go hand in hand. He had
IV albumin today which should help. Doc said he should be feeling much better
by Sat. He is on oxygen because of several issues - not all cancer. Hopefully
that will also be improved next week.
It certainly is an interesting place here with lots of varied patients and
staff. We are, of course, hoping it is all it is cracked up to be. Tim really
likes the physician he works with here - a very knowledgeable fellow. The care
is excellent. It will take a few more weeks to know if the treatment is going
to do any good. Keep your fingers crossed - prayers will help, too!
